Richard and Janice

I (Richard) do most of the blogging and therefore take the whole blame for its content. I retired 13 years ago from serving in the Police for 30 years and have done a few short term jobs since then but I especially enjoy my cycle trips and motorhoming in the UK and in Europe. In 2013 I did a 3000 mile solo bike ride across Europe, from west to east finally ending in Rome.

I met Janice in 2012 and got married in 2017. We live in Stamford, Lincolnshire, having only moved from Kendal earlier in 2025. Janice worked as a Business Manager at a local school but has now retired to travel with me. Thankfully, Janice enjoys travelling and cycling too so we get along just fine.

We each have two adult children and now we have four grandchildren….although, I’m sure you will agree, we aren’t old enough!
