Firstly, I should be explain the different bottle sizes.

The place we were at was obviously in the Champagne area. It was Epernay.
For the next part of the trip I will need to be careful about what I give away. I already had Rob Brydon on telling me that I shouldn’t copy Destination X.
Today we continued closer to Destination Y. We will actually arrive there tomorrow but I will not blog till late on Saturday or early Sunday (depending on timings).
Now the admin is out of the way I can focus on today.
The last overnight destination is best shown with a few photos. Probably not a place you know much about but you may have heard of it indirectly for its cheese…

We almost polished this off at lunchtime. We understand that French etiquette insists that when cutting the cheese it should always have a ‘nose’, ie it should have a pointy end.
The town is on the Marne river and is the place where the German advance in the 1st World War was halted and reversed. The town has the largest 1st World War museum.

We enjoyed a little pleasant afternoon sunshine. In the evening we concluded our arrangements for tomorrow and Saturday.
I know several people have already correctly answered the final Destination Y. They will be feeling ‘Bouncy, bouncy, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun’, I bet!
