We travelled west today. Quite a distance.

But before I get on to today’s destination I must remind you that the Destination Y is nigh! Only a couple more stops. I have already been contacted by a reader who has got it right.

We arrived mid afternoon at our aire for the night. We quickly got into town.

Jan was already getting rather giddy! But it wasn’t her birthday today!

There was a whole street of grand buildings owned by Champagne companies.

Chateau Perrier.

The chateau was the mansion of Perrier Jouet champagne. It was a museum of champagne too.

Can anyone name the bottle sizes from small to massive?
The building was palatial.

The cheapest bottle we found was 42 euros. So, we went back to the van and….

….opened a bottle of 4 euro Riesling. It was a perfect accompaniment to our Mergez sausages.

It’s great to see the heritage and method of champagne production but we feel that other fizz can be just as good.

Despite all these clues, you still need to guess our location!

We think one more place before the final one. I don’t want anyone ‘moana..ing’ that I didn’t give them warning.
