We found out today that the turning of signs upside down is a farmers’ protest about competing demands and bureaucracy. It happens throughout France. We saw several more upside down signs today.

We had a drive to a larger city today. Although we did the supermarket shop and fuel fill enroute.

The site, on the city outskirts, was carefully chosen for its cheap price! We thought that our previous site was rustic with one toilet and saloon bar type swing door.

We found our pitch….next to the large compost heap!

The park4night app describes it as a Saffron Farm. It trumps the rusticness of the previous site. The owners greeted us and gave us a half hour instruction on the solar shower and recycling instructions. Jan gave up on it and I had to endure the process even though most of it was in French.

It will do us for a couple of nights. After all it is cheap and includes electricity!

We had a little ride into the city. We have been here before.

It is on the Rhone and has half a bridge. It is also known for its schism in the 14th century?

Beautiful location.

Last photo….it will probably give it away but at least you can sing the little song once you get the location.

We had a French version of a Bakewell Tart too.

Bakewell Tart is not a clue! Just wanted to include the treat! It will be ice cream again tomorrow.

It won’t be a surprise to you that we are going to start travelling north soon. We are holding off for one more night to keep hold of the warm weather. We want Storm Amy to pass France on Saturday/Sunday. We should still get a scorcher tomorrow.

Don’t forget to think of where our final destination Y might be. We could be Frozen in the north by then and I’m not taking the Mickey! Don’t shout out if you are getting any ideas in case you spoil it for others but you could email me direct.
