We did a little shopping this morning as we travelled to our new destination.
We drove west for over an hour, along very wiggly roads to this Beaux Village of France. Beaux Villages are specially selected by the French Tourist Board for their charm.
We followed Google maps to the village and almost drove through an arch into the centre.…

….before a man stopped us and told us to go around the village for another 1km to get to a place for Motorhomes. It was a good job we didn’t get through the arch as we would have been completely stuck!
The village is definitely ‘beaux’. It was a warren of alleys and stairways.

The views were stunning of mountains all around. Including Ventoux and Mont Sainte Victoire.
The village was apparently used to film parts of ‘The Day of the Jackal’ and ‘Monte Carlo or Bust’!
We needed to expend some energy so we hopped on the bikes and had a pleasant ride down to Ampus (a nearby village). It was almost as pretty as our village.

As you can tell the weather was gorgeous.
The ride back was mostly uphill….it felt like I was riding ‘two Tours’!

Back at our village we walked in to the centre to see the sun go down.

This village is so good they named it twice.
By the way, we have been in the road three weeks and travelled through seven countries. Not bad going! Only a couple of weeks to go. I wonder where our final destination will be?
