The country was Liechtenstein. It is the fourth smallest country in Europe after the Vatican City, San Marino and Monaco. It has the highest GDP in proportion to its population….no poverty here! I say it’s a country but it is a Principality like Wales and so its capital Vaduz has something in common with Cardiff.

There are more companies registered here than there are residents! There must be a tax benefit.

Yes, we are in Vaduz and will stay here another day to avoid some storms that are just a little further south.

I took my money to the bank but they looked at the amount I had and directed me to the laundrette. It was the only laundering I could afford!

We sat out most of the damp morning and then actually had a nice pleasant afternoon walk.

This is called the Red House….for reasons I think are pretty obvious.
A different view of the Schloß.
Great views of mountains peeking out from the clouds.

Back in Vaduz I struggled to spot any millionaires but it must be a wealthy place because we saw a shop you don’t see in most cities….

A whole shop selling nothing but safes. Must be plenty of money to fill them.

We have certainly enjoyed our stay here. All the more because our car park was totally free.

Moving again tomorrow….but where?

Ciao!
