Having only watched one episode of ‘Destination X’ on TV I am taking the brave decision to parody the programme by travelling in a mobile box (motorhome) around Europe with an unknown route to unknown destinations. Your (and my) task is to work out where we are and where we are headed and why!
You may think we have a great advantage in predicting the route but I assure you that the only thing I know for sure is that we are booked on a ferry on Tuesday 9th September from Harwich to the Hook of Holland. We have no plans whatsoever from thereafter. Where we go from there could be in the lap of the Gods!
I will give some clues on each blog post and you need to guess where our destination will be. The destination will appear at the beginning of the subsequent blog post.
You will be pleased to know that I will include the normal amount of motorhome and cycling adventures, with a good amount of lovely food and beer thrown in. I will try to be frivolous and silly wherever possible with a few grumpy old man comments thrown in to balance up the blog.
We may need some inspiration to decide where we are heading and maybe to work out where we actually are! We may never be able to answer the question, why?
On another note, regular blog readers will know that Jan and I moved house to Stamford a few months ago. We are settling in nicely to our new surroundings and getting to know the natives. One thing is certain….the weather is better than our previous home town of Kendal!
